The Outstanding Mental Health Counselor Award is to be presented annually in conjunction with the North Dakota Counseling Association (NDCA) Annual Conference. The award is an acknowledgment of contributions to and promotion of the mental health counseling profession.

Background & Purpose
Criteria

The Outstanding Mental Health Counselor Award is to be presented annually in conjunction with the North Dakota Counseling Association (NDCA) Annual Conference.

The award is an acknowledgment of contributions to and promotion of the mental health counseling profession.

The nominees must have an active membership to reflect their engagement and contribution.

Nominees may be practitioners in private practice or work for agencies, colleges, universities, or institutions; however, their primary role must be that of a direct service mental health practitioner or retired from these roles.

The nominees should have made an outstanding contribution to the counseling profession, demonstrating sustained excellence in leadership, advocacy, community engagement, educational initiatives, research, and scholarship).
